Does Chiropractic Work?

December 19th, 2019

What is the answer to this age old question?  If I am adjusted by a Chiropractor, will it work or fix my problem?  Will I still be in pain after the adjustment?  What should I expect?  How much does services from a Chiropractor cost?  After reading this blog entry, we hope all of these questions are answered for you.  Chiropractors use their hands and other tools to align the spine.  When the spine is not in proper alignment, a host of problems could occur including local or traveling pain.  A Chiropractor will do preliminary exams to determine if the problem is originating from the spine.  If the problem or complaint of the patient is originating from the spine, after the Doctor of Chiropractic aligns the spine, the pain will decrease or go away completely.  This treatment may take several visits or just one.  The frequency and duration of visits with your Chiropractor depends on the patient's age, complexity of complaint and secondary conditions or diseases.  Your Chiropractor will explain to you associated side effects of the adjustment after your treatment is over.  Depending on the joint or area adjusted there may be soreness after the adjustment.  The great thing about Chiropractic care is that it is the most economical and effective treatment for back pain.  Cost of treatment vary, however the average cost of a typical visit can range from $35-$65 without insurance.  With insurance the cost of Chiropractic care is even cheaper.  Another good thing to remember is that most Chiropractors now accept most major insurances.  We hope this has answered any questions you may have on this topic.  Want to schedule a visit?  Simply contact us, (803) 587-1893.

Does Chiropractic help with Sciatica

December 22nd, 2019

One of the causes of Sciatica is compression of the Sciatic nerve which is the largest nerve in the body.  If you have been diagnosed with Sciatica and are looking for treatments that will help your condition without taking medications or receiving injections, this blog may be for you.  Sciatica can be extremely painful and debilitating, however there are many options for treatment.  Many patients have had wonderful success with Chiropractic treatment and Sciatica.  Chiropractors will first examine you and determine if Sciatica is indeed the problem.  Your pelvic bowl can shift due to previous trauma, which may cause compressions or pressure on the Sciatic nerve.  Your Chiropractor will gently administer therapy to the area and adjust the area to free up pressure off of the nerve.  In return, the pain and symptoms will decrease and eventually go away.  Chiropractic treatment for Sciatica is more affordable as compared to other treatments for Sciatica.  It's important to seek care immediately and don't delay.  Call our office today to schedule a free consultation.  (803) 587-1893

Can Chiropractic help with Arthritis

January 26th, 2020

Arthritis is defined as inflammation of a joint.  A joint or "articulation" is any place two bones come together and meet.  Inflammation can be caused by many different factors.  The most common arthritis is known as osteoarthritis which is degenerative arthritis.  This type of arthritis can also affect the spine.  There are many other types of arthritis patients suffer from.  Chiropractic care and therapy is ideal for patients suffering from degenerative arthritis or "wear and tear" arthritis.  The best treatment for arthritic joints is mobilization.  Movement may often stimulate joints positively and slow down the rate of degeneration.  Patients with osteoarthritis in the hips are often advised to ride a stationary bike in order to stimulate movement in the joints.  Chiropractors will prescribe physical therapy which may often be done in the office and at an affordable cost.  The bottom line is that you don't have to suffer with arthritic pain.  There is help for Arthritis!  To schedule your free consultation, contact our office at (803) 587-1893.
